Eric A. Karkau - Director of Security & Compliance

In his 19 years' experience, Eric has worked with Fortune 500 companies, such as Fleetguard-Nelson, Inc. (a subsidiary of Cummins Engine) and HCA (Hospital Corporation of America). At Ingram Industries (parent company to Ingram Book, Ingram Marine and, formerly, Ingram Micro), he continued his professional development in IT audit, assuring network integrity and compliance. His ability to work with all levels of management, allows him to align policies and processes with industry best practices. His areas of expertise include network vulnerability assessments, policy creation and enforcement, corporate liability, disaster recovery planning, security controls and implementation, and penetration testing. Eric holds several Microsoft Certifications and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is an active member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
